In this workshop we will learn some elementary/intermediate modern harp compositions and explore how the composers have used varied tones and textures to add depth and changing atmospheres to their music.

Tutor: Fraya Thomsen - Fraya takes her influences from songwriters such as Ani DiFranco and Billy Bragg and combines them with the Scottish sensibilities that she learnt in her native Highlands of Scotland. Fraya has worked as a musician in a wide diversity of settings from international harp and roots festivals with The Duplets, to musicians in residence with Feis Rois and is an award winning film/dance/art composer. “Scottish harpist… with the cosmic touch...free and wild...".
